I know it’s a made up music video, but I’m always saying how weird knife and sword guys are. There is plenty of evidence to support this fact, so don’t dispute. My personal favorite is still this katana unboxing video, which I believe absolutely should be translated into every language and put on the main page of google for an entire month so the world sees it. This alpha m’lady video I’d have to say is a close second.
Oh and I saw this in my feed the other day… of course it’s Funker Tactical. The marketing machine is in full effect trying to sell his new (wait for it…..) Karambit:

2:58 – ROFL a shield! Oh man if I could be a fly on the wall where someone got home invaded and used a sword and shield to thwart an attack. I’d literally drown in a pool of my own laughter tears.
At the end of the day ridiculousness aside, I would have to agree that a pokey object would be a lot better than a pillow or fists for home defense. I’d still pick a gun over everything obviously.
This guy talks a lot of some self defense sword and shield techniques towards the end, like he’s a damn TIER -31 swordsman.

Isao Machii is the sword lord. He holds a number of Guinness world records for sword related stunts. There’s a slow motion shot at the end of the video (2:11).
It would be cool to see him do something bullet related… like hit a bullet in mid flight with a frying pan or something. That’s probably above his skill level, and also way more dangerous. 100 MPH is only 147 ft/sec, whereas a 115 gr. 9mm bullet flies at around 1300 ft/sec (faster than the speed of sound – 1125 ft/sec). With anything though I’m sure if even a beginner grabbed a katana and did this 100 times in a row, he/she would probably be able to slice the baseball at least once if they had the timing figured out judging by the whoosh sound.
Remember this Katana unboxing? Probably the greatest unboxing video ever made.
