titanium

Demolition Ranch does it:

obama-not-bad-faceSurprising that two of those shells where he mixed the lead shot in worked so well. When he was trying to ignite the titanium by itself on the ground with the blowtorch, it was going really slow.

Can’t say I’d rush out to get titanium shavings, but that was cool to see.

Chaos311clarity has some fun on the range:

That thing is a beast!  I’d still rather have a Glock 18, because Glock… but the Beretta 93R is definitely in my top 5.  The built in utilitarian fold down forward grip on the 93R is a nice feature too.

Chaos311Clarity-YoutubeBasically no muzzle rise on that thing with the forward grip and the stock!

Chaos is wearing the ENDO Apparel Pictogram Fire Selector Switch Hat.

Thoughts?  Glock 18 or Beretta 93R?

Well maybe not a battle rifle.. more like an “Impress People with all your disposable income” rifle:

You can check out more pics and info over at NEMO Arms.  Damn I love the look of Titanium.

The barrel and a few other components are still stainless steel.  Titanium is almost twice as heavy as Aluminum and way more difficult to machine. Like he said in the video, it’s to showcase their machining capabilities (and to no doubt get a buzz going around the internet).

NEMO arms will be at the NRA annual meeting today, so if you’re going you can check it out.

Thoughts?

I’m sure Magnum Research sells a lot of Desert Eagles in general, and probably even a lot of this model (TG-TS Titanium Gold Tiger Stripes):

The Desert Eagle just doesn’t do it for me.  It’s bulky, incredibly heavy, and very expensive.  Yea you can get it in the big boy .50AE caliber, but I don’t really see the purpose of that either.  You are supposed to be using your handgun as a first method of defense, or as they say to “get to your rifle”.  I know it’s a good gun, but I just think that there are better options for most applications.

I saw this the other day on the internet and I thought, what a perfect companion for owners of a tiger striped desert eagle:

Yea it’s just a photoshop… but really, “if you build it they will come” I think definitely holds true again in this case.

You can check out the Desert Eagles over at Magnum Research – HERE

Being a Minnesota company as well, I definitely support Magnum Research and would like a few of their other guns.  That new .380 Micro Desert eagle is intriguing, and they have some nice looking rifles based off the Remington 700 platform which I am definitely interested in.
