tv show

A new show starting Sept. 12th @ 10pm EST on National Geographic:

Father and son run one of the largest antique gun suppliers in the world, based out of New Jersey.

Definitely some eye candy when it comes to antique military guns.  Hopefully the derp is kept to a minimum, but seeing as it’s TV I have a feeling it will go full-retard.  Maybe not at a Sons Of Derp level… but likely still quite high.

Everything goes swimmingly until 1:20 *facepalm*

You serious?  Resting the folding stock on your forehead while shooting an UZI upside down?  Wow…. so impressive *eye roll*. I’m surprised he didn’t send that camera man down range, seeing as it’s so safe.

I’ve never watched an episode of this show, because after seeing and making fun of the trailer I assumed my time was better spent doing pretty much anything else.  Looks like I was right.

Interesting that his token shoulder roll seemed to be absent.  Maybe he doesn’t get as nervous when the camera attention isn’t 100% on him?

Trolling definitely is the way to get some good free publicity in any industry.

Marketed as a tribute to American bravery:

Wouldn’t you know, some Nobel Peace Prize laureates condemn the show for “glorifying war”, and want it removed from NBC’s lineup.  *eye roll*

NBC’s response: “This show is not a glorification of war, but a glorification of service”

Ranger from Action Figure therapy goes in:

^^^ hahahahah oh man that’s good.  Dean Cain pushing the limits of DADT, and Nick Lachey’s scarf… priceless.

Thoughts?  Anyone bother to watch the show yesterday?  Do you feel the same way as the Ranger?

The attention to detail in this is awesome:

Unless you just started following the blog, you know how obsessed I am with HBO’s The Wire.

Every time I see a stop motion animation video, I still can hardly believe how much time it must take.  This vid was even better than The Wire Musical I posted about a few weeks ago.

I can’t stress enough, that if you haven’t seen The Wire… you need to get on that.

Zombies have taken over the ad agency:

I haven’t seen Mad Men, but they hit on some real key aspects of Walking Dead characters so I’m assuming the Mad Men portion was dead on too.

I forgot to mention it earlier, but since Feburary 12th The Walking Dead has been back.

It’s continuing on the 2nd season, and so far it’s really good.   There were a few slow episodes just like any show, and some real DERP moments but overall I enjoy it.

I got email from a few of you expressing your disgust that Shane keeps jamming his glock in the front of his pants.  Hahha yea pretty stupid I know, *shrug* that’s TV for you though I suppose.

If you haven’t got into the series yet, or are looking to catch up you can watch it on Amazon.
