VICE interviews Brandon Bryant about his time as a drone pilot:

dont-drone-me-broI’m can’t say I’m surprised that not everyone is enthusiastic about the drone program.  I don’t feel like I really have enough information to have more than a gut reaction to what I see.. but in my opinion if flying using an unmanned aerial vehicle to kill bad people is saving the lives of good people (with minimal collateral damage) then it seems like a good idea.  It’s not like any type of war is clean.  Sending ground troops in will result in lives lost on both sides and innocent people getting killed as well.

Drones are one of those things where you really can’t quantify the amount of lives saved… there is definitely more accurate number regarding lives taken, so that of course is what gets dwelled on.

There is nothing worse than fragile toys.  This looks like it’s done right:

Game-Of-Drones-UAV-Torture-Test-KydexUgh I want a tough drone like that so bad.  I’d probably just get into trouble with it though :/  Drone law in this country is not governed by reason.

4:10 –  Wow the “Tactical Bumblebee” Mossberg 500 is derpy.

The drone looks like it’s made from Kydex.  Good idea.

Yay lets shoot down government drones because we have nothing better to do. *Facepalm*… Derp ahead:

This story could be summed up as “Our town sucks, and we just want to get on the news”.  What a waste of everyone’s time.

drone-aircraftIf I worked for DHS I would dispatch drones there just out of shotgun range to hover around taking pictures just to piss those people off.  Although I think drones are possibly the most awesome thing to happen war-technology-wise in the last 10 years, I don’t like the idea of them being used to spy on average Americans one bit.  You just can’t go all Buck Yeager on them and start killing them though… there are rules to this shit.

HALO Jump:

UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle):

Pretty neat videos.  Seems like Richard Ryan is trying a bit harder now to be likable, which is nice to see.  He used to be pretty obnoxious.

I’d like to own, or at least play with a high-end UAV someday. HALO jumping, or skydiving in general I really have no desire to ever try.

The fireworks were cool… but id rather see one of these with a .22LR pistol (at the very least) mounted on it.
