WWII

This looks damn good.  Based on a true story as well:

Based on the extraordinary true story of Operation Anthropoid, the WWII mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich, the main architect behind the Final Solution and the Reich’s third in command after Hitler and Himmler.

Anthropoid-Movie-PosterYea I’ll see this.  I’m always down for a good WWII related movie (UPDATE: I was just schooled that it was the cold war in the movie).  The last good one I remember seeing lately was Bridge of Spies.

Thoughts?  Is it on your list as well?

In theaters August 12, 2016.

KJW:

Told-That-Teacher-Crayons-MemeTypically all good stories I’ve ever heard contained at least one P38, a mini watermelon, and a yoga pose.

Dat vintage 9mm tho.

4:19 – “I don’t think the nazi’s did yoga poses” hahaha. Schizer, seems like she needs to brush up on her 3rd Reich yoga history.

First look at a new movie about a WWII tank unit:

fury-brad-pittGreat cast, and looks like it will be a great story.  I’ll have to watch this one.

Kyle America takes a look:

FPS-RussiaSeeing as a lot of his audience is the pre-teen and teen COWWADOODY crowd, somehow I doubt one of the “most requested videos” was WWII weapons, but it’s definitely nice to see.

hahah “shitter mountain”… “garand thumb” (or as I prefer “m1 thumb”).  I wouldn’t want to be the guy picking up all that broken toilet in amongst that poo dust.

You really can’t go wrong with any of those guns.  If I had to pick, I’d definitely go with the Tommy gun.

Thoughts?

Freddiew gives it a shot:

Pretty decent job, but their videos are definitely becoming more and more pointless.

I wonder if they are doing a lot of paid work now, and don’t have much time for these free YouTube vids that got them to where they are today?

The same story which I based one of my shirt designs on:

The design i’m referring to of course is the Keep Calm And Carry One t-shirt.   Pretty neat history to the original poster.  I’m always surprised to hear 2.5M posters were printed at the beginning of WWII, and yet none surfaced until the year 2000.  I suppose paper is pretty fragile for long term storage if the conditions are not ideal.   I’m just waiting for a huge stockpile to be found someday so I can pick up an original to hang on the wall.
