New York City Celebs Applying For A Concealed Carry Permit On The Rise

Singer Marc Anthony, Robert De Niro, shock jock Howard Stern and supermarket mogul John Catsimatidis. Billionaire Donald Trump and his son, Donald Jr.; celebrity lawyer David Breitbart, and artificial-heart inventor Robert Jarvik can also carry steel, police records reveal. Mets third-baseman David Wright has a permit to keep a gun in his city penthouse. Martha Stewart’s daughter, radio host Alexis Stewart, also has a permit.

The best part of the story was “It’s unclear why (Marc) Anthony wanted the permit” …. Let me hazard a guess, maybe because he wants to carry a gun? :P

Nice to hear Donald and his boy are taking advantage of their status and being decent Americans. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Trump carried around some sort of gaudy .50 Desert Eagle (DEAGLE) with diamonds all over it. His taste is pretty lavish judging by his Penhouse condo they show on each season of ‘The Apprentice’.

  1. “Mets third-baseman David Wright has a permit to keep a gun in his city penthouse.”

That right there, having to have a permit just to keep a weapon in your own domicile for your protection, is what is wrong with NYC and what was right about McDonald vs. Chicago

yea I agree, that is ridiculous.

  2. hey, hey! if someone has a CCW, it sorta defeats the “concealed” part if the media broadcasts who is packing and who isnt, right?

It is an individual choice. people should keep that shit private, or let me carry my glock in a drop-leg rig.

Good point. I know some people see it as a deterrent whether or not people know about it. I’d prefer the element of surprise.

  3. WOW, what a prime example of elitist mentality in this country. These people for the most part, are the least likely to be victims of crime in NYC, due to their socio/economic status.

While law abiding regular people who live in crappy neighborhoods full of crime, who are 10,000 times more likely to be a victim than those mentioned in the article, are prohibited from carrying or even possessing in their homes.

Its amazing how news like this just sails over the average Americans head, without an ounce of critical thought at such an injustice.

  4. These are the same celbs that support gun bans for the common citizen.
