Video Game High School

A trailer for the highly anticipated side project freddiew’s group was working on:

The full 1st episode is actually up over at their website RocketJump.  I am VERY impressed.  I expected no less out of the freddiew crew…  and they definitely delivered.

The characters are pretty over the top, the weapon handling looks good, and the video game jargon is all on point.  I highly recommend you watch it.

Thoughts?

Freddie is certainly an inspiration to anyone looking to make high-quality creative content without any real budget to speak of. It is also a testament to how far the technology has come to allow the average consumer to purchase affordable cameras, equipment and software and produce near professional level digital video and effects. This series is something I have been looking forward to, and taken for what it is has exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to see Freddie and Brandons’ names attached to something with a Hollywood size budget (We know it is just a matter of time).
Cheers

Speaking of video game themed shows, if you haven’t seen ‘Grandmas Boy’ it is frickin’ hilarious.

To be honest, the trailer does not make me want to watch an episode. Just looks kind of lame in my opinion.

It’s definitely aimed at the Nikelodeon crowd. Keeping that in mind though, Episode 1 was really well done in my opinion.

That Brian kid looks exactly like a young Elon Musk.

5 second film crew is in it as well, they’ve also done some funny firearm skits.

I may have to glance at it. I do think it is a Nikelodeon crowd. But I did enjoy Buffy and Angel in my 30’s though.
