VICE At The Big Sandy Shoot In Arizona

The hipster reporter has a great time:

He broke hipster code and got excited. Looks like a damn fine shoot.  Anyone been to it?  How does it compare to Knob Creek?  So much NFA goodness…

I like the idea of blowing up that guy’s ashes at the shoot… that’s a heck of a sendoff.

LOL that Finnish Lahti L-39 20mm anti-tank rifle is awesome.

Funny thing is the entire video and no Anti-gun bias. Read the description below the video and you can tell it was written by some gun grabbing fuckhead.

My understanding is that its the western portion of the US’ version of Knob Creek. Looks like tons of fun.

I thought this piece was excellent. Much better than both of Kaj Larsen/Current.TV’s pieces on Knob Creek.
I’ve been to the Kentucky shoot twice – each time it was simply incredible.
Looks like the big difference here is the obvious one of the desert atmosphere, plus the inclusion of an opportunity to shoot down RC planes. More reactive targets, too.
In addition, most, if not all of the “rentals” at KC are on the lower range… at Big Sandy, you’re right up there with the rest of the guns…

All this VICE reporter with the RV needs is a fat friend, a british accent, and a CGI “alien” named Paul.

The L-39 is one of my all-time favorites. Bonus for “Rat Patrol” style in the Jeep.

I find it funny that at the beginning he was talking about ‘death machines’ ‘murdering people’ and using all these inflammatory statements about the shoot, and then the more he watched and shot the more and more he enjoyed it.

Well another neat video is this one: How to make a M60 Machine Gun CATCH ON FIRE. But in a combat zone at night, that has a tendency to draw the eye. :-p

I wonder how he’s going to explain his having a good time with the “Death Machines” to his $9.00 PBR drinking hippster friends back in Silverlake?

The host is fucking gay! I wish he wouldn’t talk and just show the footage. All the people there seem cool enough and it looks like fun. The night shoot was pretty cool!

Clearly you ignorant twat waffles know precisely fuckall about VICE. Whatever you do don’t go to http://www.viceguidetotravel.com broaden your horizons and learn something about the world from these consummate professionals. When your idea of journalism is gleaned from vitriolic hate filled ultra partisan nonsense, I suppose you can’t be faulted for assuming this gentleman is “fucking gay” Nevertheless if it weren’t for his “fucking gayness” you would have exactly zero footage of Big Sandy to enjoy. Maybe next time you decide it might be a good idea to flap your cock holster on the internet…you’ll do some research first…and think again.

“consummate professionals”

yeah, no.

Vice is full of sensationalism and one-sided faux-journalism.

They even got mega flak for their piece on Liberia and North Korea for only showing the audience the bullshit sensational elements instead of telling the whole story.

Get the fuck out of here.

Oh boy how could ANYONE not find it fun ?? I’d pay my flight back and forth just to get a chance to shoot just one round per rifle ! Plus the beers to repay the owners (that’ll be more than the flight but still !).

This range is just outstanding.

I’m planning to head out to the next shoot in October. I know folks who have gone, they say it’s a blast.
