Taurus Firearm Manuals Say You May Die Or Get Hurt Either Way

According to these safety warnings, you really can’t win:

As seen in all the Taurus manuals.  You’re basically screwed…

Thoughts?

There are literally 4 pages of safety warnings in my taurus manual. Ill try to get a pic for you to show you how C.Y.A they went with the safety labels.

Is one of their warnings “Don’t buy a Taurus”?

I think it means if it is secured too well say in a lockbox, then you may not be able to get it in time if needed. if you leave it out in the open, a child or criminal (or ex wife) may get to it. if you have it safely on your person with an appropriate holster or something then you are good to go.

I just store my weapons bolt/slide locked back on full mags of personal defense ammo. Whichever 1 I decide to keep handy for the night comes out of the safe and is returned in the morning. Anyways Taurus=fail.

I think one of the warnings is mandated, the other tongue in cheek common sense. I like it!

Further proof that product liability law, and the plaintiff’s bar, is out of control in this country. We need tort reform to be imposed nation-wide, and we need to suspend/disbar personal injury lawyers that abuse the legal system (a decision that ought to be made by a panel independent of the individual state’s Attorney’s Bar).

Ruger is the worst offender when it comes to warnings. They etch that shit onto the guns. I like the looks of my SP101, except the big spot on the barrel that says “HOLY FUCKING SHIT! THIS IS A GUN! YOU’LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT! NEVER USE THIS GUN!” Its a bloody paragraph of engraving on the left side of the barrel and it drives me NUTS.

Reading a car manual is the same thing. There’s almost no useful information in there beyond “Warning, something bad can happen if you drive”.
