Buck Yeager Reaffirms Beliefs – Gets Carry Permit Revoked

What would George Washington do?  What would Thomas Jefferson do?

Full Story – WSMV Nashville

He’s well spoken, calm, and sticks to his beliefs in this interview… I’ll give him that.  If he can manage to keep his ass out of jail, I’m sure as a result of this incident his business grow exponentially.

Who the hell is threatening him, his family, and his business?  Although incredibly ironic, that just crosses the line.  I thought gun grabbers were supposed to be pacifists.

In related Buck Yeager news, he had his carry TN carry permit suspended today – “material likelihood of risk of harm to the public”.  As commenter “SittingDown” said, Yeager almost surely won’t give a shit as shown in this video regarding places where you aren’t allowed to carry, you have to know the difference between “allowed” and “able”.  This is going to resonate even more with him considering people have been threatening his life lately.  I can’t say I feel sorry for him, because he 100% brought this upon himself… but it is unfortunate that’s for sure.

Here’s what I think might happen… the rest of us get to keep our gun rights, but because of the “I’ll kill anyone that that tries to take my guns” public motto of Yeager they will in fact try and take his guns for what they will call “public safety reasons”, or maybe even because they catch him illegally carrying a firearm even though is permit is suspended.  What then?  Well he says he will kill anyone that attempts to take his guns so I’m assuming he’ll be shot dead, and probably take a few law enforcement members (of some type) with him.  This isn’t a good look for gun owners…  or maybe I’m just a pussy, as Yeager would say.  We have to live with our own decisions.

James-Yeager-Angel-Approved

So when is the Piers Morgan appearance?  If it happens I hope he doesn’t let Piers provoke him into an Alex Jones type rage.

Thoughts?

If you happened to miss the orignal video where he threatened to kill anyone that tries to take his guns check out that link.

Hat tip: About 50 of you.. you guys are the best.  I’ll get to the emails and thank each one of you when I get a chance.

Apparently Yeager forgot Washington suppressed the Whiskey Rebellion where 3 – 4 insurgents were killed and another 2 innocent civilians were killed.

Yeager also says that if someone comes to takes his guns, he will shoot them. Although I am not cruel enough to do so, if someone wants to be a uber-troll, file for a order of protection against Yeager regarding the Duel/youtube rant, and the cops will come with a SWAT team to take his guns.

Yeah, he dug himself in, yeah, he is 100% at fault for the mess he is in, but why do we always gang up on the weakest one? Is it because he made some videos and called people names? Hell… that’s the definition of a troll. If he is trolling you, he’s really good at it. If he isn’t… then he is just an idiot and you should grow up and move on.

Stop dividing yourselves on purpose. Use some of that internet passion to write a few congresscritters and do some good on the keyboard, rather than just chortling over what some dumbass did to get himself in trouble.

I hope for his sake he quiets down and goes to the real work of taking care of his family.

As to threats? Just go back and read some of the posts here on some of his “duel” vids. I can see some idiot 14yr old cawadoody tough guy emailing him death threats. I’m waiting to see if someone SWAT’s him. Be a damn shame if someone got hurt because some internet keyboard warrior got butthurt, on either side.

If he was a guy at the range, and started sweeping everyone with a loaded weapon, would you give him a pass? No, you would call him out and explain how a member of the gun community is supposed to behave. If, after that, he continued to act up at the range, you would (and should) ” sacrifice one of the community” and make sure everyone knows that you don’t agree with that kind of behavior, for the good of the community.
James is that idiot at the gun range. As a responsible gun owner, you follow the rules, or you are not one of us. That’s the message we want the gun grabbers to hear.

Reply

nikonmikon January 12, 2013 at 07:42 pm

Follow the rules!

Do NOT speak! Do NOT exercise your 1st or 2nd amendment rights! Follow these rules or else they’ll take our guns!

Fuck your rules bro. You go follow them. James did not threaten anyone specific. He articulated what he meant very precisely.

Reply

Dennis January 13, 2013 at 07:19 pm

I never said he didn’t have the right to speak his mind. I never said take his guns, and I never said I didn’t agree with his views of our government. But, even though I fully support the first amendment, sometimes there are consequences to speaking your mind. In this case, it’s means I don’t want this idiot’s words to represent me as a responsible gun owner. So yeah I will “sacrifice one of the community” that has gone rouge and is endangering us all…if not physically then at least politically.
He doesn’t act like a responsible gun owner in his video rants, why should he expect other gun owners to support him? Just because he’s pro gun?

Reply

Dennis January 13, 2013 at 07:24 pm

And I’m referring mainly to his video about killing people for taking his guns. Not the right time for that to be PUBLICLY articulated in my opinion.

The world loves nuttiness, and he has found his niche to make a mint.

This is the guys that at times is very right or very wrong, sometimes at the same time. He has no inner STFU voice. While I don’t care for him, nor any of the training he does that I have sen on YouTube, you have to admit, he’s way out front on the gun grab issue. Probably too far. But admit it. He’s said a lot of stuff that has crossed your mind already.

I don’t care for Yaeger but he just repeated “from my cold dead hands” just with cussing and the word “shooting/killing”. From my cold dead hands implies the same message, but we all (mostly) loved Charlton Heston.

Now gun owners will think twice to expressing their distaste for the governments wishes in fear of losing their permit or worst even against a constitutionally invalid order. He is the master of arrogance and all around jackassery and should have chose his words more carefully.

“Now gun owners will think twice to expressing their distaste for the governments wishes in fear of losing their permit or worst even against a constitutionally invalid order.”

Yet ALL want to shut up and take it while shushing down the “loud” ones right?

That is the literal definition of oppression right there buddy. From BOTH sides.

Why would the government even bother anyway, we’re really good at pecking our own. Marginalization is an effective tactic to break up any kind of solidarity. Whether it’s self-administered marginalization or not.

I can’t help but sympathize with buck on this one. He is stating what a lot of us have thought. At what point do we utilize the “opt out” clause, AKA the 2nd amendment.

I also love the typical government response: “Look, that man is paranoid that the government is coming to take his gun rights! We can’t have that – send someone from the government to take his gun rights immediately!”

Self-fulfilling prophecy if I’ve ever heard of one.

Unfortunately, while I do not really care what happens to Yeager, I see very few ways in which this will end well for the rest of us, and none at all that Yeager would be willing to accept. Him sitting down, shutting up, and going about his merry without making a further ass of himself is not in the cards, so I fear we are going to have to brace for a “crazy man with a gun” news story, ending in a variation on “suicide by cop”.

Ah yes, the right to free speech means that someone like James Yaeger cannot speak his mind? This is one man who is a threat only to those who threaten this country, not to the individual or the public at large. A true American who is prepared to put his voice out there with valid concerns about where this country is headed. An emotional response in a video that may well have been out of line, but from someone who cares about this country more than any liberal/democrat/socialist on this page. When you lose your rights, when you are taxed to death, dictated to how you will live, when you lose your 1st Amendment, then you will appreciate his opinion a little more and wonder where the America you once knew went to. This video needed nothing more than a reprimand which it received from the firearms community at large, but the day we can no longer speak freely and have an opinion, as it seems to be here, is the slow but sure sinking of the mighty ship that was once America. This interview (line of questioing) is utter bullshit. Yaeger is well spoken here for standing his ground.

Reply

matt January 12, 2013 at 10:18 am

“This is one man who is a threat only to those who threaten this country, not to the individual or the public at large”

How was the country threatened? By jackbooted thugs grabbing their guns? I’m not sure if you noticed but James is ex-LEO who was fired when he tried to start a SWAT team for a pop. 500 town. He wanted to be the very jackbooted thug he claims to oppose. LEOs constantly grab guns from the American people in violation of the constitution just because a politician told them to. And SWAT teams are only sent out when someone has a gun which needs grabbing.

“…but the day we can no longer speak freely and have an opinion, as it seems to be here…”

That day was well over a hundred years ago, see the Haymarket massacre for a classic example.

” Yaeger is well spoken here for standing his ground.”

Yeager didnt stand his ground, in subsequent videos he retracted his previous statements and said he would not start shooting people.

Reply

Matt January 12, 2013 at 11:08 am

Why are people hoping he gets killed or hurt in an encounter with police? Why are people gloating that he got busted by the very forces that may very well be coming after you and I? When compared to the words of the opposition, who endorsed the murder of the Wayne LaPierre as well as other NRA members, he spoke rather lightly.

Reply

matt January 12, 2013 at 11:50 am

“Why are people gloating that he got busted by the very forces that may very well be coming after you and I?”

Because Yeager was part of the very forces which may very well be coming after you and I. He was a cop who was fired when he wanted to start a SWAT team. SWAT teams are only sent in when there is a gun which needs grabbing. It was poetic justice.

Reply

Saxon January 12, 2013 at 12:19 pm

The time for solidarity is if a real shooting war starts, until then we can call Yeager a retard for his overly aggressive behavior. Right now we need men and women who can articulate our rights to the masses, we need a 21st century Thomas Paine, Patrick Henry, or Cicero.

Reply

Mike January 12, 2013 at 12:39 pm

Question: Why did the ATF go after David Koresh in Waco? Did he threaten people?

Question: Does Chuck Yeager have a pretty good arsenal of weapons?

If the government went to confiscate weapons from Chuck Yeager would it turn into another Waco or would he lay down for Obama?

If he decided to fight it out… what would be the result, i think it would be bad for the government… because even though I dont like CY … the government has no right to choose who it wants to take guns from.

Reply

Max January 12, 2013 at 01:02 pm

I think that living in the information age has an extreme advantage to those who wish to combat tyrrany. As soon as anything happens to yeager it will be broadcast throughout the world. Back when Waco happened they could hide it to a certain degree, but now we’ve got the interwebs, and look at the kind of advantage that was to revolutionaries over in the middle east during the arab spring.

We may not like Yeager, but if anything happens to him I say we go full-extremist and use him as the poster child for what happens when the government massively oversteps its power and disregards the constitution.

I agree JY went too far in his statements but we should all take a moment to reflect on the words of Martin Niemoller, who survived seven years in a Nazi concentration camp.

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me. ”

I’m not saying I believe that is where we are heading, HOWEVER we are dividing ourselves. I think most of you readers understand the true meaning and intent of the 2A, we know it is not about sports shooting or duck hunting. Hell the only sports hunters in the 1700’s were the King and his Lords.

I wish JY had more tact in his video, but it is out there and we can’t take it back. I say stop flaming the guy, he has enough stress already. Lets get back to watching ridiculous gun kata training and crazy russians.

The US all ready went after them, remember the Nazis?

“Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out–”
The US has been going after them for well over 100 years, from the Haymarket Massacre to the Ludlow Massacre to the Auto-Lite Strike and countless other incidents.

“Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out–”
The US wont go after the Jews because they provide a justification to keep a strong military presence in the middle east, and they control the banks.

“Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me. ”
Do you really think the Nazi’s or Jews would speak for you? Maybe the Trade Unionists would.

“I’m not saying I believe that is where we are heading”
We were there well over 100 years ago.

Moral: what the state “permits,” the state can take away. Yeager presents himself as a doof half the time…but what he said is a long way from a true threat; it was protected First Amendment speech, and I’d bet a few hundred thousand…or million…folks have thought or said the same thing in the last few weeks. After all, the Revolution begain at Lexington when they came for American guns at Concord. Would be interesting to think through a federal lawsuit to strike down the permitting system as violative of the First Amendment as applied to him. Either the First Amendment protects edgy speech, or it protects nothing….
