Transformers III 84mm AR-15 Upper Receiver

Hat tip: Teaser-trailer

That would be priceless if it went down like that between Shia LaBeouf and Tyrese Gibson, but I’m not holding my breath.

The upper receiver looks like an AT4 with some extras. I’m not sure about the night vision.. I don’t know much about those.

I’m very sorry, but what the hell? This is impossible on so many levels, even more so than the Transformers themselves!

That is stupid – seems about right for a Transformers movie though. And that look like a PVS-4 night vision weapon sight.

Good call on the sight.

Impossible? Empty AT-4 tube + AR-15 lower + PVS-4 + extra metal bits.

No different than the Sterling submachinegun-based Star Wars Imperial blaster carbines or the Thompson-based Aliens 10mm pulse rifles. Actually those two are far cooler than this POS.

Yeah, the pulse rifle from Aliens was far superior.

It’s like a signal of how un-serious the movie will be. Non-serious. Whatever.

I love the CQB spikes on the front
the night vision is an AN/PVS-4 or something like it first used 1976 its old, heavy and doesn’t work well
the AT4 first used in 1983 works well against light armor ( at least the scope mount is real)see link below
AR15 lower HA HA HA
You would think modern SF would be using newer equipment
Well thats Hollywood

The pulse rifle is far superior because people have actually made working firearms into replicas of it, and I have even seen one on which the LCD display actually worked to tell the user how many rounds were in it.

Its LED, LCD is a monitor type
you know, i wonder why they don’t make firearms with LED round counters though, more useful than a bolt hold open
