The Walking Dead – Season 2 Trailer

Season 2 looks like it’s gonna be good!

Despite the poor CGI and often laughable gun handling, The Walking Dead is one of my favorite current TV shows.

If you need to catch up and can’t find it for free, you can rent it on Amazon:

  • Season 1 – High Definition (HD) – HERE
  • Season 1 – Standard Definition (SD) – HERE

If you’re all caught up with the episodes, but need a walking dead fix I suggest re-watching the Every Zombie Kill From Season 1 video.

I absolutely LOVE this series. There have been some silly gun handling and editing mistakes. I wanted to give excuses that people with no previous gun handling experience would do silly things, but even the former law enforcement officers have done confusing things. Still, it’s been a great show so far.

the story lines and drama look pretty solid, might be worth a look.

I think the series would be more interesting if it didn’t have love making and affairs. Make more zombie hunting and shooting.
At least the actors can’t go on strike in this series, because if they did, the producers can easily kill off their charactors.

I’m totally up to date on the comic, and I suggest ANYONE who enjoys this program to read the comic. It’s much more violent, and it is no surprise that a lot of people die, especially those that an average or even advanced reader would not have imagined being killed.

It looks like they are deviating from the comic book pretty significantly. This is both good and bad because while I will no longer know the plot which is nice it also means there is a chance they will make it a worse story for it.

It just goes to show, AMC knows what’s awesome. Unlike Fox where a panel makes their decisions, and the viewers are pretty much told “LOLgtfo King of the hill is gay and Bobs burgers is epic”.

Thank you AMC. When i rule the world, you’ll be left alone :3

Anyone else notice the most trendy firearm for zombie apocalypse flicks has been the shotgun? Walking Dead is no exception.

Pros – stopping power, high hit probability, internal magazine tube (loose ammo, etc)
Cons – range (except for slugs), recoil, limited capacity, reload speed

With the,”fast and the furious,” zombies that are so popular as of late, I would wager that a good portion of survivors who never picked up a gun before in their lives would become fast zombie food when their shotguns run dry and they attempt to reload it under stress.

Now something like the Saiga 12 or AA12 would be great, provided you had a lot of mags (don’t throw them away)! But for me, gimme a good ‘ol AR15. :)

I’d rather take an AK and/or an AR15 variant in lieu of a shotgun, because I could carry much more ammo in an easier fashion.

33 round Glock mags were probably made just for the zombie apocalypse. Well, that and full auto Glocks.

Because any caliber a Glock comes in is a zombie stopper >.>
Heck, any pistol that’s not loaded something other than ‘basic’ ammunition would be of dubious value in a situation like that.

Nope, the only surefire way to kill a zombie is with overwhelming force. Be it shotgun or Rifle. Sub-machineguns fall into this category despite the caliber(wall of lead is pretty overwhelming lol)

I cant say i know any of this for a fact, but hey, you cant say i’m wrong since zombies haven’t happened. Yet.

in some games, a flamethrower is an effective weapon for the undead..
in real life, I don’t think so.. hahaha, burning corpses would just still come at ya’.

if i could choose a firearm for a zombie apocalypse, I would choose the KRISS .45 (yeah, blast those zombies head/limbs right off) :D

The cool part about Glocks is that you can use them as hand-grenades also.

Being a GT graduate, I am kind of sad they are leaving ATL, but it makes complete sense from the survival perspective – staying in a metropolitan area during a zombie outbreak is a surefire recipe for suicide, no matter how easily-defended your little quarry is. The group fracturing looks to be an interesting twist… It was bound to happen with the people and relationships involved, but I am sure will cause all manner of DRAMAAAAAAA!

But, regardless, sign me up :).

I only watched a few episodes, btu I was disappointed with the show. The characters never really seem to get that they are daily fighting for their lives. How about some inventive high speed killing? Run over the zombies with a bushhog? Set up napalm trenches and lure the zombies in? How about a chain fail made from construction equipment?

Just saying, they could have the characters accept the situation they are in and start kicking some butt.

Heavy equipment. A full-size sheeps-foot road roller is just about the perfect tool for mass zombie eradication. Fill up the tank and you get hours of street-clearing fun.
