A few days after Halloween, but never too late for an 8 month old Goose & Maverick:
So awesome. I love how the top gun theme song is playing from the rear of the F-14 too.

HIGHWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TO THE DANGER ZONE!
The actual top gun theme is an instrumental song by Harold Faltermeyer. It’s a guitar driven song; I think it’s playing at the end when they fly by the carrier as they return from the mission. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCTJmXrgsFg
(Favorite movie when I was ten!)
To add to this, the guitarist is Steve Stevens who played guitar for billy idol i think, a lot of people mistakenly attribute the guitar work to Joe Satriani.
Still though….. Kenny Loggins is badass and Highwayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy toooooooooo theeeeeeee danger zoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee is always fun.
A lot of people attribute it to Eddie Van Halen too… but, a lot of people are stupid. I’m sure you could find someone out there who would try to convince you it was Steve Vai. Oh well. Harold Faltermeyer is awesome though. For those who don’t know, he did the very famous Beverly Hills Cop theme, and, even better in my eyes, the theme for Fletch (among tons of others).
