FPS Russia On Binary Explosives

The fake Russian with guns has another youtube channel:

I guess this new channel is just for explanations or something.  He says he uses In The Red Exploding Targets, not wimpy Tannerite (his words).

People’s comments on youtube make my brain hurt.  I’d like to think most of them are from kids, not stupid adults.

Looks like some sort of Aluminum/Perchlorate flash powder with added sensitizers to allow initiation from a low energy source like a bullet.

It’s ammonium nitrate and god knows what else.

Serv, embrace your demo-nerdiness. One question though: what is a sensitizer?

YIKES OK Shooting a .44 Mag at an upward angle is VERY stupid and dangerous.

Hopefully he was using .44 Sp Rat Shot so he looked like a better shot than he was.

Dude, the guy shoots guns at exploding targets and videos it with the express intention of broadcasting it to as many people as possible via youtube. It looks amateur from here, but I bet with the ad revenue they are making and the attention it’s got, they have a tight system running.

Weer’d, my guess was the same as yours. It says at the bottom it wasn’t fake and I don’t doubt it was real, but it was not a .44 Mag load as the handgun didn’t even buck under recoil.

Thats what I was thinking too.

.44 magnum, why you no recoil?

It is ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder. It is a well known high explosive that is capable of detonation from the shock of a bullet impact.

Oh and Tannerite is basically the same thing with ammonium nitrate, ammonium perchlorate, aluminum, and titanium. I doubt there would be much difference in “power”. Sounds like he is just marketing the other brand.
