Smith & Wesson Shield

Teaser video for something S&W is releasing April 12:

I’m not holding my breath for a Shielded Weapon System, but it would be nice. :P

My guess is it will be some sort of neva been done befo’ pocket pistol.

What do you think it will be?

I think your right a neva-been done afore pistol or less lethal device like the Kimber pepper-blaster or Taser or some kind of body armor line. Seems a bit to hokey to me for a true, blow them away if they try to hurt you or yours product based on that teaser….

My guess is it’s probably some kind of single stack M&P.

I’ll refer to my post on a Facebook page…

“Hmmm… Ideas that come to mind…

1. S&W Legal Services
— “Shield Yourself from lawsuits.”

2. S&W – Civilian priced Entry Shields.
— “Shield Yourself… While trying to remember, that you forgot the internal safety was activated.”

3. S&W and Crimson Trace Lightguard/Lasergrips combo available factory direct…
“Shield Yourself, and your loved ones with the newest in firearms and technology.”

Or, maybe I’m completely off base and they’re releasing their own brand of condoms.”

I agree with Ed. All the manufacturers are going single stack since it’s more comfortable to carry.

My bet. A pistol/rape whistle hybrid.

s&w rape whistle: insert barrel into rapists mouth. ask him to blow….or else.

my prediction is a single stack polymer 9mm / 40s&w with built in crimson trace type laser.

Are ‘home invasions’ really on the increase?

I say it going to be a backpack that deploys an airbag like cocoon around the wearer that is made of kevlar so when the shooting starts you can just hide in your bubble and tell the S&W On Shield operator what the trouble is.
Caution: not to be used on steep inclines.

The M&P logo at the bottom right is a hint.

I’m going with a single-stack 9mm like the Ruger LC9.

I really hate when companies do this. If you have a new product either spill the damn beans or shut the hell up till you’re ready. Don’t put out these fucking cocktease ‘THE SHIELD! WHAT IS IT?! FIND OUT SOON!’ little movies. It is a waste of our time, your time, and your money. It’s just going to be some super slim 9 or a 22 that looks like Browning BAR or some other retardation anyway. It’s like I don’t already have enough reasons to hate S&W.

<- is just a LITTLE grumpy he didn't get to go shooting today

This looks like something out of the game Army of Two

Probably yet another product they’re going to steal and rebrand but less quality.

I think it might be some new civilian body armor. If the S&W Bodyguard was a gun, then it would make sense for The Shield to be a ballistic vest.

They got the rights to manufacture the ‘biggun?’

Was that just a joke? Took me forever to find link to that travesty.

I know this is old news but if you look they made the video private and there is NOTHING on the S & W website. Looks like they pussed out. I am not entirely sure how I could dislike smith & wesson more right now.

The video works now. Maybe they un-private’ed it?
