Derek Zoolander Knife Review

For guys that can’t cut stuff good with their current knife and want to cut stuff more better with a new one:

hahahha great stuff.  I’m sold, that knife is the highest speed lowest drag thing I’ve ever seen.

On a related note, I should do some more curls. That girl in the video needs to start something other than carrots.

There’s nothing I can say that will top the video itself. It is a masterpiece.

Now sold by Boker for $23.95! Probably no longer made with explosives, but more affordable for creepy crack whores.

  2. LMAO! You pegged it with ‘Zoolander.’

I had to stop the video when it came to the ‘silent’ nightime narration. I was hurting from laughing.

(but i do like knives that are one piece construction. Not sure if i’m badass enough to have this though.)

  3. And someone please give the girl a sandwich…

And give the ‘operator’ a brochure on ‘gynecomastia.’

    Please.

    1. I was going to say “Hamburger” but you pretty much nailed it.

Well, I guess if I ever need a knife to use as a handle to pick up an old electric motor with, I know where to shop.

  5. Yeah, i liked it the first time when Worf used it on Star Trek. Here it is in Carbine length: http://bit.ly/LPcwLV

I don’t hate the knife but that ad is super over kill.

So, funniest part about this? I was actually sold on it! I went to the website to buy it (which ironically is misspelled in the video) and guess what? NO PRICES OR ONLINE PURCHASING!

Oh well it was probably like 200 bucks for a 40 dollar knife.

So I did a little digging, and boy was I off! The smaller one starts at 120 and goes to 175. The bigger one in stainless steel is 480 bucks. How about that blast welded titanium one they were talking bout? Oh its only THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!

Right? It’s only S310V. Would have to make a better sheath for it anyway.

  8. Video is awesome, looks like they’ve hired the photography director from “Commando”, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, back in … damn, that old??
I don’t like this shape for knives, I always feel like I’ll loose the grip, or twist it around my fingers in a clumsy way… I prefer solid handles, like the Ka-Bar he shows as an example.
However I think the idea of improving the sheath is a good idea…

in a post apocalyptic situation, when you have to drag your recently bartered beatch around, still tied to the display tire, you will wish you had this

    1. I’m still laughing at this one!

    2. You should be awarded an internet.

It would probably make sense to buy the $25 version to see if you even like the thing before you go for 80’s action hero status with the $3500 “operator” version.

  10. Is this serious? It looks like someone dubbed over an ad from the mid 80s. This can’t be serious.

BLAST WELDED ADAMANTIUM for your ENERGY LEGS!!! AAAAAARRRGHHHH!!!!!

I made it to where Tactical Operator guy had a Kel-Tec SU-16B backpack rifle. Didn’t even get to see Carrot Girl.

  12. So what is the scoop on those knives? I don’t ever see myself spending that kind of money on a knife, and the video – while old and/or a troll – makes me wonder, but they look awfully fancy. And they use big words on their website

  13. I have the small boker version that’s like $20. It doesn’t come very sharp because it’s chisel ground. I resharpened it.

That being said it’s the perfect edc knife for someone with a wrestling or jiu-jitsu background. In a defensive situation (in public) i’d much rather have it than a sub 4″ folder. In a defensive situation in my home i’m not grabbing a small knife or any knife for that matter. Now if my jurisdiction allowed me to edc a larger folder or fixed blade than it would be a different story.

  14. That is pretty sweet but I would rather have a used car.

He needs to lay off the roids..
    She needs a hamburger..
I MEAN REALLY! She can’t be over 85lb, looks sick!

  16. For some reason, the majority of the blades I own and trust are from Badger Blades. My Katana, Wakizashi’s, and bastard sword are all made by them. They have been used in demos by me, and them, multiple times.

I just wish Badger and crowd, would make more personal carry knives.

The guarantee on the Pendant Daggers is that if you have to give it into custody after a personal defense situation, they will send you a replacement, no cost, no questions asked on sending them a copy of the police custody report.

Well the difference between the cheapo Boker version is that it’s made in 440C (cheaper but adequate stainless steel) while the knife advertised is made of CPM S30V (an excellent steel with great edge retention). People just being introduced to knives who don’t know the value of higher end knives are reluctant to spend $200 on a knife; however this knife’s value is on the edge of being worth its and value and in the end is influenced by how much you like it. I don’t believe it’s worth $480 for the all steel construction model (unless if it was all custom made) but if you personally want it, it most likely wont disappoint you.
