Hornady Teasers Gonna Tease – Radio Controlled Shotgun Shell

I hate vague teasers, but here you go:

Perhaps it’s a radio controlled shotgun shell vehicle like the one that gets some air time toward the end of the video? (see above)  Maybe that vehicle is full of 5 lbs of triple-aught buckshot and can be fired via the remote control?  Yea that’s definitely what it is… case closed.

Not sure why there would be light coming from the red tip… a hint at heat-seeking ammo perhaps?

Could be ammunition with a penetrator core as per their patent granted in May 2012:

Expanding projectile
An improved projectile having a penetrator and a body is disclosed. The penetrator is secured to the body. Upon impacting a target, the pentrator travels into the body and deforms the body. The body optionally has one or more portions, such as slots in the body, to promote deformation of the body upon the penetrator impacting the target. The body optionally has a bore extending at least partially therethrough that permits attachment of the penetrator at a second end of the body opposite the first end.

I am actually banking on several annoucements. And one of them will probably be a shotgun slug specifically formulated with that penetrator core.

Hah, who knows.

Maybe it’s a James Yeager signature ammunition series?

A HP Slug w ballistic tip and something to increase accurate effective range…would be nice.

They finally have graduated from the zombie crazy.. congratulations Hornady. Although, I have only good experiences with the zombie rounds.

lastly, they should fire the creative director who thought of a shotgun shell on wheels.

Since that is the day after the Halo 4 release it must be plasma bolts and needler rounds, or some new 14.5x114mm for my sniper rifle

Obviously a guide by wire two stage slug.

Nothing in that video sparked my interest. Way to fail Hornady.
