Trollsport Industries LVOA Division Is At It Again

First an AR-15 slingshot.  Now check out what they call the bag it comes in when you buy one:

The D-Bag hahhahhah “Complete LVOA AR’s will ship in the D-Bag”.  Yea I get it D for “Discrete”, still though.

HSGI actually makes the bag for them.  Looks alright I guess… nothing really special though as far as I can tell.  I think a more discrete way to transport a rifle around would be in a tennis racket bag or a gym bag, as opposed to this high speed looking balistic nylon one.  I suppose people could just assume camera lenses or something were in this bag, but chances are since it looks custom people are going to be inquisitive.

They should have made a gag D-bag out of all EdHardy and Affliction print fabric.  Sadly it seems that companies rarely have a sense of humor.

any square cubish bag signifies to a thief its something you can steal and make money off of…trombone, guitar, keyboard, precision rifle….

tennis racket bag has been used before….

MrMaigo December 1, 2012 at 08:07 am

Agreed, people won’t know whats in it, just that it costs money

They will put any print you have on the D Bag, at least the regular bag through HSGI, don’t know about the LVOA version.

Where you or I see “rifle case”, most folks see a case for golf clubs, video equipment, or expensive electronic gear. “Gun” really does not enter into their thoughts much.

After being in the military, “gun” is pretty much the first thing that comes to mind when I see an appropriately-sized Pelican…

A discrete bag? I don’t understand, a bag to keep your gear apart, separate?

Oh. A DISCREET bag, to keep your gear largely unnoticed by the world at large.

Sorry, got confused there.

No it actually is a discrete bag. They mean that the bag is meant to hold a rifle broken down into the upper and lower. This makes the bag smaller and easier to transport. Mike just wasn’t paying attention when he read it. It’s fairly common type of gun bag.

i would feel like a d-bag just carrying that thing, but, to each their own.

The problem with custom bags like this, is they dont look like any of the ‘normal’ bags people own so they kinda stand out.
If it was black, or had wheels or even had zippers on the side that only looked liked pockets it would be more discreet.
OK, it does come in black and other colors so points to them there.

I’ll just wrap my shit in a jacket and call it a day. LOL

FishBuzz December 1, 2012 at 01:19 pm

Exactly what I do.

John December 1, 2012 at 10:28 am

Theres nothing discrete about this bag screams tactical

PJ December 1, 2012 at 10:35 am

Not sure if this is better or worse than 5.11’s options:
You can also fit an AR in this if you separate the upper and lower:
I think 5.11 has them beat if you’re looking to CCW your AR. I don’t really have need for this since I don’t usually carry long guns in public places where people might freak out.

$170? I’ll pass.

Dennis December 2, 2012 at 09:01 am

I made a “discreet” carry case for my AR a while ago. I found a double tennis racket carry case and lined it with foam. The upper fits on one side and the lower on the other, with pockets for magazines.
Here’s a picture.

That’s what I’m talking about!
It would be funny if you wrote “SHOTS” in the same font underneath HEAD haha.

Dennis December 2, 2012 at 02:30 pm

Mike-You so funny.

They need to put Buck Angel Yeager’s face on it and call it the “D-Bag XXXL.” Make it large enough to fit a Barrett M82 with a bent barrel. The addition of a single pouch on the outside for “manpons” would also sell additional D-Bag XXXLs to aspiring students.

Bourdain says Guy Fieri is the love child of Ed Hardy and a juggalo.

Just sayin’
