Sig Sauer’s Carnik Con-esque P226 MK25 Video

Yea this looks Carnik Con’y:

See what I mean?  Not a very good promo vid in my opinion.  Are we supposed to be impressed his MK25 fell out of the shitty drop leg holster into murky water and still worked?  Yawn… step your game up and add some mud at least Sig.  His AR-15 would have worked fine, but half way through the video he throws a hissy fit and chucks it into the water.  Looking mad creeping backing into the water… oh then he finds the MK25 huRRAH!  At 0:56 it was confirmed he is an actual operator by that “bringing it back into the workspace”, bravo sir.

  1. I bought my father a P226. While it’s not a bad pistol…it doesn’t deserve the pricepoint it fetches. Just sayin’…

And how many, “special” versions of the P226 are even available now-a-days? LOL and I bet they want too much for ALL of them

  2. Why is it that promo vids and websites of gun manufacturers usually suck?

    1. Because, anyone that knew what they are doing from the entertainment industry that worked for a gun company; would either be black balled, or be shamed into apoligizing(sp) and extorted into giving a large sum anti-gun groups. Just so that the could keep working.

      1. Agreed, but it doesn’t take a media company to make a somewhat decent video. All you have to do is spend a day on YouTube watching film making videos, and $500 on a camera and you’re good-to-go.

    2. SilencerCo’s stuff is pretty dope. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMQvBXmVbWQ

I think PWS is trying, and Tracking Point has some cool stuff too. But yeah, just about everyone else needs to pick it up. a lot.

      1. Agreed. There are lots of other companies like Nosler, LWRC, and others who will spend the time and money to make their stuff look good. But, it seems that their is a large amount of companies who need to pick up the slack.

I like how these companies waste my time by making these videos, or really crappy websites.

I see what they were trying to do, but the video was terrible.

Given their recent “staff adjustments” i.e. layoffs, this was probably all they’re budgeted for. This video was filmed on 8mm by an office temp; the operator is portrayed by a janitor. Times are tough

  5. Carnik Con knows they’re trying to be silly/funny

I believe this is like those terrible cult movies that are trying to be serious and real, but fail completely at it. Also, for a company like Sig Sauer… This looks low budget as f**k.

  6. filmed with a toaster

    gun marketing is surprisingly awful

      I think SIG is a green/natural company.

it was filmed with a potato.

  7. This video is actually a couple of years old, this was just a reupload:

Dugan and crew would have had better production values.

The video is indeed a couple of years old. It was an outtake for something else that the staff of the Sig Academy (where it was filmed) thought was damn funny considering the screwup by the actor (who in reality does know what he is doing). The lost pistol was indeed a mistake, not some sort of intentional torture test or anything.

    1. That made me feel a LITTLE better… but hopefully they released it as a more humorous video, ala “viva noveske”

  10. Safariland SLS/ALS holsters are not shitty. They are great. Amazing retention, smooth fast draw. Great duty holsters, Mike.
