Negligent Discharge In Pixar Short Borrowed Time

This one is not intended for kids:

pixar-borrowed-time3:21 – Yeah, I saw that coming. You know what they say… if Young Metro don’t trust you Imma shoot you.

This short took Pixar animators Andrew Coats and Lou Hamou-Lhadj five years to make.  They did it in their spare time using pixar resources.

It’s visually stunning, and definitely conveys emotion.  I guess that was the point.  I’ve heard talk about this being “anti-gun”, but I’m not getting that vibe.  Unless the animators are trying to be sneaky about it, they don’t say anything about guns in their “why we made it” video.  They say it’s just about closure and owning up to mistakes.

If you head to the official website you can see how many awards this thing racked up so far (lots).
