You’re not a cop. What would you do:

Definitely an interesting scenario to stumble upon.  For some reason I know my initial reaction would be to want to hurt the guy doing the choking, and help the guy getting choked.  Who’s to say the guy getting choked isn’t the “bad guy” though?  You have no idea what happened before you got there… which is why this is such an intense situation.  Would you even want to get involved?  What if it escalates and one of them has a gun?

I’m surprised they do this kind of social experiment anywhere, but especially in the U.S..  Most places in the world where guns are not so prevalent, the absolute worst case scenarios I can think of would be someone winding up and kicking the guy doing the choking full force in the head, or hitting him really hard with something (like that fire extinguisher), or stabbing him with a knife.  If this wasn’t set in NYC, the chance of someone drawing a gun would likely be very high.

1:35 – Ugh douchebag recording it on his cellphone probably thinking of getting that youtube money.  Despicable.

It may all be faked for the video or it may not be… the scenario is something to think about though whether you carry or not.

The website listed at the end of the video actually refers to this new movie Dead Man Down:

Dead-Man-Down-Movie-PosterColin Farrel and Terrence Howard hey?  I’ll risk 2 hours of my time on that when it’s out on disc.

1:17 – FAIL!  Sweet blank bro.

Thoughts?  What would you do if you walked right up on someone being hurt by another person?  Would you get involved? Has this type of thing ever happened to you?

Because AR-15s are harder to aim and harder to use:

You heard it guys… straight from the vice president’s pie hole:

If you want to protect yourself get a double barreled shotgun.  Have the shells, a 12 gauge shotgun, and I promise you… I told my wife; we live in an area that’s wooded and it’s somewhat secluded.   I said Jill, if there’s ever a problem just walk out on the balcony put that double barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.  I promise you whoever is coming in is not going to… you don’t need an AR-15.  It’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use and in fact you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself.  Buy a shotgun.  Buy a shotgun.

A round of applause for the Vice President everyone…. *facepalm*   So are murder charges now going to be dropped in the future when someone does something this retarded? If we can’t take advice from the Vice President who can we trust?

Joe-Biden-Finger-Point

This isn’t the first time he’s mentioned the merit of double barrel shotguns over AR-15s for self-defense.

Certified Retarded == Gun Control Smart. When are we going to stop putting cameras and microphones infront of imbeciles:

Oh this is good… it starts at 1:37

One issue that always boggles my mind is the idea that a gun is a defensive weapon. That is a myth. A gun is not a defensive weapon. A gun is an offensive weapon, used to intimidate and used to show power. Police officers do not carry a gun as a defensive weapon, to defend themselves and their other officers. They carry a gun to be able to do their job in a safe and effective manner and face any oppositions we may come upon.  If it was a defensive measure why did we lose 55 officers nationwide last year to gun violence?  And unfortunately in just the two months of this year so far we have lost 2 officers to gun violence in the state of California alone.

My first question… does Ken James drink?  His face looks a bit red in the video, could be the CA sun though.  *sigh* California gonna California.  I’d hope statements as dumb as his are met with a letter of termination, but my guess is he got a pat on the back and a raise.  If I could say one thing to him it would be: Stay out of the way of law abiding citizens you Wilford Brimley looking motherf**ker, and focus on what matters. ;)

I also like the statistic of 1.5 guns per day his officers are encountering (1:03).  Like does one officer just encounter a slide or a frame?  Joking… joking… simmer down bros I know how division works.

MrColionNoir has a response, it’s an obvious one but he does a great job as usual.  I just really wish the funny videos from him were more frequent. :/

Apparently M$ was quite irritated that this existed, piggy backing on the popularity of their HALO franchise:

Liberty-Ammunition-Halo-Point

Liberty Ammunition removed all mention of HALO from their website, rebranding the ammunition simply as “civil-defense” now.

If you wanted to get some for your collection though, Midway USA still has some 9mm +P for $20 per box.

There’s a huge article on this ammunition over at Kotaku you can check out for more information.

Sure the .357 magnum or G26 are acceptable choices for self defense.  The Kel-Tec PLR-16 with 100 round surfire mag though? haha  Trollin.. Trollin.. Trollin.. What is this, Die Hard?

I’d almost 100% guarantee if you whipped out a PLR-16 and started to “neutralize threats”, you would be neutralized yourself just because of the look of the gun.  If not, god forbid that thing was anywhere near you when the cops showed up.  You damn well better have a concealed carry badge to flash in an effort to save your life. <— That was a joke btw… in case it went over some heads. :P

Thoughts?  I’ve actually never heard the term “food court gun” before today, but I don’t frequent any forums anymore so that might explain it.
