lubrication

Mattv2099 gets lubey with it:

Glock-Diamond-Bedazzled-Pendant-JewelryFAILED.  Take that Larry Vickers!

So it seemed to be slowing down the striker for a bit until that lube got out of the channel.

Larry be like “OH YEA DAWG, That’s what I’m talkin about”:

Larry-Vickers-Over-Lubricationhaha LAV trolls hard in this one.  If there was food involved in this it would be almost like he’s treading on Mattv2099 territory.

hahah this video was awesome, I hope he does more like it.

I think the main problem with extreme lubrication like this is that if you dropped that on the ground and kicked it around then it would be a disaster because you’d have sticky/muddy dusty mess in the gun.  If there was the proper amount of lube it wouldn’t be as extreme.

Thoughts? *Larry turns myths awwwwwwwwwwf*

Mattv2099 takesa some gela puts it ona the Glock:

Mattv2099-ENDOhaha “Dep”, that’s such intro hair gel.  I think everyone including myself used that in junior high.  I graduated to Layrite like a boss for all my hair styling needs, and never looked back.  Oh damn I broke character… I forgot that I am 513 lbs, live in my parents basement, survive off cheetos, no girlfriend, and have a combover.

If you want info on the real deal Italian Gun Grease hit the link up and LOL.  Looks like the video was removed for some reason.  Additionally, it appears they now have a line of clothing they call “Guido Gear“.  Apparently “Guido” isn’t a racial slur… who knew?  I’m going to call the guy working at my favorite pizza place that next time I grab a slice.  If he takes it the wrong way I’ll be sure to educate him.

Thoughts?

I remember doing this once:

Glock-Pistol-Lubrication-Guide

Posted on Glock’s own Facebook account.  The comments are pretty funny.

I don’t shoot all that much, but in my experience Glock’s run fine with little to no lubrication.  The dozens of torture tests out there show that.  Over lubrication definitely seems more detrimental than no lubrication at all.

Glock-LogoI know I said in the title I lubed my Glocks once… but I actually do follow those steps (which are the same as what the manual suggests) after every time I clean them, which isn’t often at all.

Thoughts?  What’s the “in” lube now?  Am I old school for still using Hoppes #9 / CLP?
