As unsettling as it is, this is probably not a bad thing to teach kids no matter where they live. That said, Mexico is so out of control.

Thank God for that strategically placed insanity wolf picture that follows him around in every scene.

Like I needed another reason never to go back to Mexico:

Prison inmates allowed to leave their cells with weapons borrowed from guards carried out last week’s killing of 17 people in northern Mexico, federal authorities said Sunday.

Ricardo Najera, spokesman for the federal attorney general’s office, said prison officials in the northern state of Durango lent the inmates weapons and official vehicles to carry out several tit-for-tat killings on behalf of organized crime.

Too dangerous… I’m thankful I made it out alive the first 2 times I was there.

Mexico would be such a safe place if it wasn’t for our damn “gun show loophole”.

Laredo TX – Acting on a tip, police pulled over a truck on Saturday. Inside, they discovered 147 new AK-47 rifles, still in their boxes; 263 high-capacity magazines; 53 bayonets; and 10,000 rounds of ammunition — enough for a small army.

LOL bayonets!

Reminds me of this video on drive-by bayoneting, which is no doubt an epidemic:

Also, I have a question for those who might know.  Is ammunition that hard to come by in Mexico, that it needs to be smuggled as well?

Scary stuff.  Unless these Americans are fishing for a living in order to put food on the table, I don’t know why the hell you would risk fishing and/or boating if you knew a Mexican drug gang (Los Zetas) was cruising around robbing people. Seems like a dumb risk, even if you are armed.

Also, since when can you just freely drive across borders (water or land)? I thought it was a universal thing that you needed to go through a port of entry or have prior authorization of some sort.  Also, can U.S. citizens normally fish freely in Mexico?  That’s what it sounds like in the article and video.

I’m sick of hearing about shit like this.  When is that damn fence going to be complete already?  And will it extend through the water part of the border? :D

According to the news so far, on April 20th the BP oil rig in the Gulf exploded.  Now since those rigs are inherently dangerous, I wasn’t really surprised by this and took it as an accident.

Then this from from Obama today:

  • Potentially getting the Department Of Defense to address the incident
  • Department of the interior is sending SWAT teams to the gulf to “inspect” all platforms and rigs

What the hell actually happened there, that the department of defense and SWAT teams would need to get involved? Smells fishy… I don’t like to don my tinfoil hat too often.. but I’m going to go out on a limb and question whether it was terrorism.  It definitely meets the criteria and M.O. of terrorists.

Wouldn’t be the first time we have been left in the dark when it comes to details.

Some amazing pictures of the Oil Spill – HERE
