From the guys at Armed Self Defense Institute (ASDI) in Utah:

The best is the “re-assembly” of the pumpkin (40 sec) after it was destroyed by .223 and birdshot. LOL

The end of this years machine gun shoot at Knob Creek (October 10th, 2010):

EPIC!

From the description:

This event is the culmination of THE BEST GUN SHOW you could ever attend. You are viewing the first 6 1/2 minutes of the Knob Creek Machine Gun Night Shoot. Fully automatic weapons including the most modern M16 variations, AK47, .50 BMG, minigun, and classics from every major military conflict of the past century. Plus a few flares! Targets included propane tanks, automobiles, appliances, and large drums of fuel. This “outburst” ran for about 10 minutes, but the intensity had pretty much subsided at the 7 minute mark. Several shooters either did not reload, and/or they were no longer shooting tracers and incendiary ammo. The main range where the video was filmed is approximately 350-400 yards in length, and has a huge hill as a backstop. Due to the dry ground conditions and volume of smoke, you will notice the view becoming much more cloudy beginning around the 2:00 mark.

A nauseating video render of the product and purpose:

Seriously, what is with the erratic render camera work? I don’t know why people insist on that method of showcasing a product.

Each charcoal drawing shows the artist, Gil Vicente of Recife, Brazil, holding a weapon moments before assassinating a world leader. The series, called Inimigos (Enemies), is meant to highlight alleged crimes for which the leaders have been directly or indirectly responsible by imagining that they are being made to pay the price.

Outside the art world i’d expect this type of thing to be taken as a real threat. Can you imagine if some kid sketched the exact same thing in a notebook at school?  All hell would break loose.   According to the article, the artist wants $260,000 for all 9 of his sketches… which in the U.S. would probably be close to the bail you would have to pay to get your kid out of jail temporarily for doing the same thing.

When magnets are applied to a specific part of the brain (the posterior parietal cortex region, which is involved with planning physical movements), researchers at the University of California Berkeley found that their 33 right-handed volunteers started favoring their left hands for smaller tasks instead.

With great ugliness comes great responsibility:

Hopefully the owner doesn’t have one of the drop in web conversions in there. I hear those are prone to frequent jams. :P
