Besides the gun, it would be hard to take someone like that serious.

There was some awkward silence and staring at the end.. I thought something big was going to go down.   At the very least I was hoping the robber was going to blast a hole in his junk when he haphazardly was putting the gun back in his pants.

I knew the cost of living in Seattle was high but…

When a car is reported stolen, an officer will confirm the report and get the owner’s signature on a form, Lt. Mike Edwards of the department’s investigations procedures unit said. Once that form is signed, the officer will call into the dispatch center and the information — a vehicle’s color, year, make, model, body type and license-plate number — will be tweeted to Twitter followers.

“It’s a force multiplier,” with citizens helping police see stolen vehicles and, hopefully, get them back to their owners more quickly, Edwards said.

Interesting idea if it works for them.  I could see it also working in the favor of criminals because they could just ditch a car once it has been tweeted.

No I’m not talking about a sale they are having, I’m talking about:

Lynnwood, WA – A man accidentally shot himself in the testicles at Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Lynnwood Sunday afternoon, police said.

The man’s handgun, which was in the waistband of his pants, went off at about 12:30 p.m. — an apparent “accidental discharge,” according to Shannon Sessions, a Lynnwood police spokeswoman.

Embarrassing!  That’s what you get for being a dumbass and not buying a cheap holster though ( like NY Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress also should have ).

The only accident discharge here was the one he probably had in his pants.

I’d consider this one also a negligent discharge, and not an accidental one, considering his investment in a holster could have prevented this from happening, and he would still have both of his testicles intact. I’m glad to hear that no one else was hurt.

It turned out the man was not the robbery suspect, and the officers let him go. OOPS!

Racial profiling at its finest. I hope that guy that got stomped and insulted cashes in bigtime on that bullshit.

“You got me? I’m going to beat the (expletive) Mexican (expletive) out of you homey. You feel me?”

Cameras are the best thing that have ever happened to the general public.

I am posting about this because it is self defense related.  Oakland California February 15, 2010 – 67 year old Thomas Bruso did everything possible to avoid confrontation, but still ended up having to take care of business because a guy just wouldn’t leave him alone.

December 19th, WASHINGTON D.C. – Things started to turn for the worse when the crowd — some carrying anti-war signs and dressed all in black with masks — began to pelt passing cars. A plain clothes D.C. police detective emerged from a Hummer — it’s unclear whether it was his personal vehicle or an unmarked police vehicle — after it was struck. The detective began yelling at the gathered crowd. At one point, he pulled back his jacket, exposing his service weapon — it’s unclear if he did this intentionally. That’s when things took a darker turn.

Bit of an overreaction I’d say :P
